Terms of Use

By using Firearms Almanac (the “site”), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What the site is

Firearms Almanac is a free price-comparison tool and directory. We list products and prices from other retailers, and FFL dealers can list their stores in our Dealer Finder. We don't sell, ship or transfer firearms, ammunition or any other product, and we are not a party to any purchase you make or any transfer a dealer performs.

Buying from retailers

• All purchases happen on the retailer's own website, under that retailer's terms.
• Questions about orders, shipping, returns, warranties or FFL transfers should go to the retailer or your FFL dealer, not to us.
• Prices, stock and photos can change or be wrong. Always confirm the details on the retailer's site before you buy. See our Disclaimer.

Following the law

You are responsible for following all federal, state and local laws that apply to you, including laws on buying, owning, transporting and transferring firearms and ammunition. Dealers are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to their licenses and businesses. You must be of legal age to buy the products listed. Nothing on this site is legal advice.

Using the site fairly

• Don't misuse the site — for example, by trying to break it, overload it, or get around its security.
• Don't copy large parts of the site or its data in bulk (for example with automated scrapers) without permission.
• Don't submit false reports or misleading information, or create accounts or listings in someone else's name.
• Don't use automated tools to create accounts, save favorites or submit forms.

Accounts

• Accounts are free. Shoppers never pay to use the site.
• You must be 18 or older to create an account.
• Give us a real email address you control, and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• One login can be used for shopping features and for one dealer listing.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account page. How we handle account information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or are used for spam or abuse.
• Deal alerts are a convenience. They may be delayed, miss a deal, or stop working, and alert emails aren't being sent yet.

Dealer listings

• Listing a store in the Dealer Finder is free.
• Only list a business you're authorized to represent, with a current Federal Firearms License. The information you provide must be accurate, and you're responsible for keeping it up to date (including fees and hours).
• Listings appear only after we review and approve them. We may decline, ask for changes to, or remove a listing at our discretion, for example if we can't confirm the license or the information looks wrong. “FFL-verified” means we checked the license when we approved the listing; it isn't a guarantee or an endorsement.
• By submitting a listing, you allow us to display the details you choose to make public on the site. Your FFL number is shown masked unless you choose otherwise.
• Shoppers: dealer information is provided by the dealers. Confirm fees, hours and services with the dealer before you go. Any transfer or purchase is between you and the dealer.

Our content

The site's design, name, logo and original text belong to Firearms Almanac. Product names, trademarks and photos belong to their respective owners and are shown only to identify the products being compared. If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, email us and we'll look into it promptly.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”. We work to keep information accurate, but we can't promise the site will always be correct, complete, or available.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Firearms Almanac is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site, relying on its information (including dealer listings and deal alerts), or buying from or working with any retailer or dealer listed on it.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
