Bergara Safety Notice: No 6.5 Creedmoor +Peak Ammo

Bergara says Federal Premium 6.5 Creedmoor +Peak ammunition should not be fired in any Bergara rifle, in a safety notice the company posted October 29, 2026. The +Peak load uses Federal's Peak Alloy case to run at about 80,000 psi, well above the 62,000 psi SAAMI standard for 6.5 Creedmoor (SAAMI is the industry group that sets ammunition pressure limits). Bergara asks owners to avoid any ammo loaded past SAAMI pressure for its caliber unless Bergara has cleared that model, and to use standard SAAMI or CIP loads for now. SAAMI is reviewing the new case design.
